Education Program
Our Education Program has been developed with the intention of supporting a school excursion to Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Pre-visit activities in our comprehensive education pack are intended to introduce students to the world of the production and draw on their previous knowledge, or lack thereof, of the Wizarding World. After the excursion to the Princess Theatre, teachers can discuss the experience with students, using the post-show resources in the education pack as a basis for discussion. The activities in the education pack are flexible depending on students’ needs and abilities.
Although this is primarily a performing arts-based program, the production and educational activities offer critical and creative thinking, aligning with Year 7-12 English and Literature curriculum. The production is ideal for Unit 1 VCE Drama Area of Study 4 and Unit 2 VCE Theatre Studies Area of Study 3.
